Repurposed Bag

Well, my blog title says it all...scrap your bags! If you are anything like me, you have a ton (and I do mean a ton!) of paper shopping bags hanging around in your closet just waiting to be used. I keep meaning to repurpose them and reuse them, since I am not one to throw anything away, but have yet to actually follow through and alas, my closet is full of paper shoppers. So, when I saw the Just Us Girls challenge this week, I was finally inspired to do something with at least one of the hundred or so bags taking up space in my closet, leaving me room for, well, probably one more bag that I will more than likely aquire somewhere along the way this week!

The inspiration was a great color combo, especially for fall.

I also found a few more challenges that this qualified for. The Chocolate, Coffee and Cards challenge was anything goes (love that!). The Pile It On challenge was use warm or cool colors.

All paper is CTMH and the background as well as the emblem are from the CTMH exclusive CricutArtbooking cartridge. "Happy Birthday" is from Gypsy Wanderings. The bow was actually taken off of something somewhere along the way, again, never throw anything away, especially a beautifully tied bow! TFL!

36th Avenue DIY & Inspired By Challenge #89

I found a new challenge website, the Inspired By Challenge! I'm excited to have found another challenge, and this was a good one!

I love gray with the fall theme, so gorgeous!

I made the wood grain and the leaves with the CTMH exclusive Cricut Artbooking cartridge.
I loved how this turned out and decided to add it to the 36th Avenue DIY project page also.
TFL!!

Fall is on the way!

Fall is almost here, I can tell because so many design challenges are all about fall! I can't believe it's right around the corner! I have to say that I am looking forward to some cooler weather and to seeing pumpkins on porches! Both the Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge and the Crazy Challenge are fall themes.

The scarecrow was made with the Cricut Celebrate With Flourish cartridge. The fall frame and vine were made with the CTMH exclusive Artbooking cartridge.  The "Hello" is from the A Garden stamp set.

Runway Inspired Challenge #43

One of my favorite challenges is the Runway Inspired Challenge! I love it because every challenge is different and it leaves a lot of room to be creative and put my own spin on things. All of the contributors have amazing designs!

The inspiration...

My interpretation...

I used a white paint pen to make the grid on the black. Of course, the Cricut Artbooking cartridge had to be used somewhere, and that is the arrow; the female was cut using the Cricut Going Places cartridge.  The frame was a chipboard accent that came with my Artbooking collection, as was the Lovely stamp. The arrow was slate CTMH cardstock and the frame was stamped with slate ink.  TFL!

Bitten By the Bug Shape Up Challenge

Well, I had a very productive night and finished two challenges! The previous challenge and the Bitten By the Bug Shape Up challenge. I had to make a birthday card anyway so this was perfect! This is what I came up with, using my favorite Cricut cartridge, Artbooking!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Scrap Our Stash Challenge #7

The theme for the Scrap Our Stash Challenge is travel, which, I love! There are rules to this challenge which include using a transportation embellishment and a travel signage embellishment. So here is what I came up with...

I was able to use a bunch of my stash, the background and yellow trim were Little Yellow Bicycle. The airplane and yellow/black arrow is CTMH Laughing Lola (again, I know! So versitile!) The rest of the stickers are random from several different lines.

Lauging Lola Tray

I found this tray on the clearance rack at Michael's (yay me!) and it's been sitting on a shelf collecting dust for some time now.  While sorting through some photos, I found some nice ones of my hubby and I in various locations in our travels that were worthy of being displayed. I also had some ephemera from the CTMH Laughing Lola collection that I loved and was unure what to do with.  So, what else, combine it all!

It looks amazing in the bedroom and is a great way to show off some photos and be creative at the same time!
